Affordable Living and Food Bank Services

One Community Commons & West Seattle Food Bank | Seattle, WA

This mixed-use project consists of 34 affordable family apartments on three floors, 10,000 SF of social service space on two levels for the West Seattle Food Bank and other agencies, and underground parking. The housing is centered around a south-facing landscaped courtyard, which provides a light-filled, quiet oasis for a project located on a major thoroughfare, while also promoting community building among residents.

Sustainable elements include Brownfield redevelopment, efficient irrigation of drought-tolerant landscaping, 90% construction waste management, low-VOC interior finishes, recycled content building materials, and energy-efficient building systems.
