farmworker Housing

This permanent farmworker family affordable housing project in Sunnyside promotes walkability and community. The forty homes are arranged around several common outdoor areas, shared by smaller communities of eight to sixteen families each.

The site and buildings harmonize to shape pleasant outdoor spaces including courtyards, play spaces, and garden areas, as well as semi-private patios at each home. All forty families have easy access to the shared open spaces, and can move safely among them.
